Award-winning Activated Roller Belt™ technology revolutionizes the way packages are handled today
Intralox’s Activated Roller Belt™ (ARB) technology provides a smart, automated method for directing the movement of conveyed articles. This revolutionary conveyance technology has proven successful at improving productivity, eliminating unnecessary labor costs, and reducing operational expenses in a variety of package handling applications. With greater flexibility, reliability, and safety, ARB technology brings the advantages of modular plastic belting and more to package and case handling applications such as merges, switches, singulators, reject conveyors, sorters, and aligners.
What is Activated Roller Belt™ technology?
Regular belts only convey products. Intralox's ARB technology enables the belt to act on the product being conveyed. Belts featuring this technology typically have built-in rollers, which are often set at an angle to the belt's direction of travel and extend below the bottom of the belt. When the rollers in the belt are activated, the conveyed article moves at an angle, in the direction of the roller spin (while moving forward).
"We chose Intralox's ARB Perpetual Merge over a conventional merge for several reasons. First, the continuous motion allowed for greater throughput. In addition, the lack of controls saved us $20,000 in cost and 5 square meters of floor space. With Intralox's ARB Perpetual Merge, you turn it on and walk away...Why would you use anything else?"
