The future of conveyance was the topic at Intralox’s NEXT Conveyance Innovation Summit held on September 25 at Intralox’s EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The event brought together business leaders from over 20 countries for a day of educational sessions on topics including food safety, sustainability, maintenance, and automation.

The day prior to NEXT’s official opening, over 135 food professionals gathered for “Designing for Greatness”—a food safety forum hosted by Commercial Food Sanitation (CFS), an Intralox company. The educational session was led by food safety experts and featured guest speakers from food processors. Participants learned how hygienic design improves, affects, and achieves overall operational excellence while minimizing risk.

Author Johan Norberg opened NEXT’s general session. He spoke about how businesses and logistics firms have repeatedly saved the public during crises like the trade war, the pandemic, and wars by constantly adapting and innovating. The day continued with sessions led by speakers and panelists from Intralox and companies including McDonald’s, Amazon, Bimbo, YUM! Brands, Continental Tire, and Michelin.

NEXT also featured an in-person, live-action Innovation Showcase.  This allowed attendees to experience over 150 sq m of Intralox’s latest conveyance solutions up close, such as the DirectDrive SystemActivated Roller Belt (ARB) technology, and ThermoDrive tensionless belt system. Attendees could also learn more from on-site Intralox engineers and product managers, and get a first look at unreleased technology.

Overall, Intralox’s first NEXT Conveyance Innovation Summit in Europe was a success.

“We are grateful for the energy and exhilarating exchange of ideas that over 200 partner customers from over 20 countries brought to NEXT 2024,” said Jeroen Neuhof, Intralox Europe General Manager. “Together, we can create the future of conveyance.”
